NON-FICTION READING CONTEST

We are thrilled to announce a new reading contest for the kids.
Our goal is to get children of all ages excited about reading and learning all summer long and beat the “summer slide” so when they return to school in the fall they will be prepared and ready to thrive!

Here are some scary stats about the “summer slide”..
**2 to 3 months of reading and math skills are lost over the summer months.
**18 months to 2 years achievement gap for those entering middle school who have accumulated summer reading loss each year in elementary school.
**It takes 4 to 6 weeks of reteaching students material they’ve forgotten over the summer.

The good news is reading 20 minutes a day or 2 to 3 hours a week will help prevent learning loss for your children. So we invite you to join our non-fiction reading contest!
